Janet Yarbrough

A native of North Carolina, Janet Yarbrough holds degrees from Duke University and the University of Michigan. She has played tuba with the Durham and Raleigh Symphony Orchestras and taught at both Duke University and Campbell University. Janet has also been active in Triangle area music scene as a conductor and pianist. She first learned about the Wanhal double bass concerto from the renowned Wanhal scholar, Dr. Paul Bryan, who also happened to be her tuba teacher at Duke.
