Gordon Cherry performed as
the Principal Trombonist of the
Vancouver Symphony and
C.B.C. Vancouver Radio
Orchestra from 1974 to 2009
Previously, he performed in
the same capacity with the
National Arts Centre Orchestra.
Gordon
studied Trombone with the late
Emory B. Remington,
graduating from the Eastman
School of Music in 1971 with a
Bachelor of Music in Trombone
performance.
In 2000 Mr.
Cherry began Cherry
Classics Music which now has
over 350 works in its catalog
including the well known
"Complete Collection of Low
Brass Orchestral
Music".
Mr. Cherry lives in
Vancouver and has been
married to his lovely wife
Joyce, a Pianist and music
teacher. They are often heard in
recital together.
